YES!! Thank you, Universe!!! We’ve made plans, my bf and I, to go to Cali for a visit! Woohoooo!!! We’re leaving on Thursday, and will stay a week (or less). Which means no blogging for me. Unless I borrow my friend’s pc… I don’t know… maybe I should enjoy the trip and remember why we’re going there, instead of worrying about having internet access, huh? he he he

I am SO excited! I haven’t been to Cali in 17 years. The place where I was born and raised. In a way, it’ll be like going home. At the same time, we’re going there to start a new home, a new life. What’s even way cooler is that I’ll be seeing my friend, Brad, who is really making all of this possible. I haven’t seen him in even longer! A new adventure and a reunion at the same time… fantabulous!!

This is the first trip my bf and I have ever taken together, which adds to the excitement. Although we are excited, my 13 yr old son isn’t as excited. He chose not to go on this initial trip, though we did encourage (and beg) him to. Not wanting to push him, we’ve arranged for him to stay with someone while we’re gone. This is an even bigger move for my son. Having been born and raised here in Montana, I understand his reluctance in moving. His family and friends are here. Everything he’s ever known is here. I have to say, though, when I mentioned living near the beach, he couldn’t hide his interest! Without pressuring him into acceptance of this move, I have explained to him the why’s and the benefits, and of course, the adventure that awaits us! It really helps that my friend has a step-daughter around my son’s age, to show him around the area and introduce him to other kids. That kinda peaked my son’s interest, too! he he he

One thing that I haven’t fully dealt with yet about this move is being so far from my daughter and grandson. I have told my daughter that she is more than welcome to join us. Afterall, the rest of her family is in California, too! *hint, hint* Who knows? But the door is always open for her, and she knows that.

So, we’re preparing for our trip tomorrow. I’m fairly certain that when we return, I’ll be full of blogging material! ;) Yay!!! California, here we come!
