Why I Blog
My boyfriend has asked me a few times, “Why do you blog?” Each time, I’ve given him a different answer.
*To share things about my life
*Because it’s fun
*Because someone else may relate
This morning, I really thought again about his question. I thought about all of the experiences I’ve had, which I can write about, and which really just might help someone else. Without going down memory lane, or getting into details, I made a mental list of my experiences:
*Growing up in a single parent household
*Moving around a lot; going to various different schools
*Getting married (twice)
*Becoming a parent; being a single parent
*Getting divorced (twice)
*Dealing with the loss of loved ones
*Beginning a new Spiritual Way of Life
*Being a grandparent
*Loving & being loved
*Working & being self-employed
That’s just a rough list. Everytime that I walk a new path of experience, someone reminds me that what I am going through may one day help another who may go through the same thing. Many times, I have used my own past experiences to help others, and I hope I will always continue to do so.
When I first began this blog a short time ago, I didn’t really have a “theme” in mind. I just began writing. And maybe that’s all I needed to do. I still don’t have a “theme,” but if I had to name one, I’d say my blog is about Life. Plain and simple. Experiencing it, enjoying it, dealing with it, flowing with it. If I can bring a few laughs to others along the way, or wisdom, encouragement, hope… then it’s all worth it to me.
I do (and will continue) talk about my precious grandson a lot. Why? Not only because he is my grandson, but because he IS Life. He IS Love. In its purest form. I believe that living a spiritual life is about returning to Love. Ridding ourselves of judgement, blame, hate, fear… all of those things that are not Love. Who better to learn that from than the children of this world? I am blessed to have my grandson in my life as a constant reminder that love is unconditional, free, pure, and that it truly does make the world go ’round.
Yes. That’s why I blog. To teach, to learn, and to grow.

I am happy that you have made this blog. I have read through a few post and already had a few chuckles, a few thoughts of greater purpose and for some odd reason find myself viewing you (I know I don’t even know you) as a caring, loving and wise woman. The kind of woman you could seek courage form. Maybe I am crazy but this is just the vibe I got form your writings. <3
Thank you so much! :) I really appreciate your honesty and your sharing with me!
we have a lot in common. I am new to blogs and blogging and mine just started yesterday will be no Niche just about the funky life I am living as I am not looking to make millions or to be recognized as a blogger, just hoping to find folks living a similar life and also luck in to a few living a life completely different from mine.
I have enjoyed what I have read here and have added you to my blogroll so I can find my way back. Not sure if I needed to ask permission prior (just got into this yesterday and unsure of the pc of it all)
Anyways best of luck with everything and you’ll see me popping back in :) Enjoy the weekend.
No permission is needed. :) Please do come back; I’ve enjoyed your comments!
